- Don’t prepare food for others when you are sick – only a few virus particles can make your guests and family sick
- Your regular hand wash after being to the toilet is not enough when you are ill – wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds, rinse and use a towel
- Don’t share towels with others when sick - wash them at 90°C
- Be polite: Save warm hugs and hand shaking for later – most people would appreciate that you keep your virus for yourself
- It you throw up - disinfect the environment with bleach and finally wash your hands.
- Don’t visit your old, weak granny or your friend with cancer or your new born grandson when you are sick: A stomach bug is maybe not a big issue for you, but others may die of a Norovirus infection.
- If wash any soiled items as hot as they can be washed - towels and bedding are usually ok at 90°C
- Use disinfectants to kill the virus - read labels and choose appropriately!
